1. The administrator of your personal data is the University of Wrocław based in Wrocław, pl. Uniwersytecki 1, 50-137 Wrocław;
2. The controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted via email address: IOD@uwr.edu.pl;
3. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of the recruitment procedure and documenting the course of the studies and used for statutory, archival and statistical purposes. The legal basis for processing is the consent given and the fulfilment of a legal obligation incumbent on the controller. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, but this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing already carried out or the processing based on the fulfilment of a legal obligation;
4. The provision of data is voluntary; however, the refusal to provide data or the withdrawal of consent for processing before the end of the recruitment process is tantamount to not being able to participate in the study recruitment process;
5. The data will not be made available to external entities, with the exception of entities with which the University has entered into the relevant processing entrustment agreements, entities requesting access as long as there is a legal basis for doing so, as well as cases provided for by law, including in particular the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended);
6. Your personal data will be processed for a period of 6 months after the end of the recruitment process, if you are admitted to a study programme your personal data will be processed for the purpose of documenting the course of your studies under the provisions of the Higher Education and Science Act and its implementing acts for the duration of your studies, and then for archival purposes for a period of 50 years;
7. You have the right of access to the content of your data and, subject to the law: the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and the right to data portability;
8. Decisions about you will not be taken by automated means and your data will not be subject to profiling;
9. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Data Protection Authority.
10. Information clause for candidates to first-cycle, second-cycle and long-cycle studies
Candidates are admitted to first-cycle, second-cycle and long-cycle studies on the basis of their recruitment (the candidate is informed of his/her recruitment in his/her personal registration account). Foreigners additionally receive the Rector's administrative decision on recruitment. Candidates who are not admitted to a field of study receive an administrative decision to refuse admission. The aforementioned administrative decisions are delivered via the Online Recruitment of Candidates (IRK) system by means of Urzędowy Poświadczenie Odbioru (UPO) [Official Acknowledgement of Receipt].
A candidate may opt out of electronic delivery of the decision concerning a given recruitment application until it is made available in the candidate's personal registration account; however, foreigners are then obliged to indicate in their personal registration account in the IRK system an address for delivery in the territory of the Republic of Poland or another European Union Member State or to indicate a proxy or attorney for delivery in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
If electronic delivery is opted out, the decision will only be delivered in the traditional way (by registered letter, with acknowledgement of receipt).
